Is it ever really too late to set goals for the year?
The past few years have been challenging for me to maintain any form of consistency on any platform. We all know the old adage “we make time for the things that are a priority to us”, but this isn’t always the case, especially when we feel we need the permission of those around us to be allowed to make that time. That is a whole post in itself which will be coming soon, but today I wanted to share with you how I’m planning to move forward. My situation hasn’t changed but my mindset has and I have big plans for this year.
My top priority this year is to start producing content on a regular basis again. As we all know consistency is the key to success. I have set myself a reasonable schedule for this platform and my other two websites (BasicMakeup.com and BiggerBetterBoss.com) with a mixture of blog posts and video content covering a wide range of topics. I’m actually super excited about this as I’ve been sitting on a lot of this for a long time.
I’m also going to work on improving the quality of my content throughout the year, so if you ever see anything you think needs tweaking please let me know. I’m in the process of setting up a more professional-looking filming area and, while it’s not in the budget just now, I’d like to upgrade my camera by the end of the year.
My nest step is to improve my social media presence, cos let’s be honest, it’s laughable! There’s now people I know in real life mixed in with my online audience and that quite frankly made my knees wobble and stopping me posting a lot of things I’ve wanted to. Wile be an online content creator is essentially taking about yourself on the internet I’m always worried I’ll come off as full of myself. I worry more that the people I know will think this because I have been different online than with them. It took a while to click that was because a lot of people I used to associate with made me feel like I was good enough and everything I said was stupid, so it became second nature to be more reserved around other people until I really know them. I now have no such reservations. So be prepared to see me in your timelines a lot.
This phase is the part I’m so stoked about. I have been working on these two projects for so long I almost felt like they weren’t going to happen. I’m going to hit the ground running with Basic Makeup and just start uploading content and work on the promotion after. But with Bigger Better Boss I’m doing a full 6 weeks promotion for a launch in April. It’s going to be a lot of work but it’ll be worth it. I can’t wait to share more details with you soon
But for now, that’s all I have to share. I have more going on in other areas which I ‘ll talk about in future posts.
